High-sensitivity and high-selective simultaneous analysis of polyphenols in health foods and beverages, unaffected by the matrix!

This technical document presents a case study of the simultaneous analysis of polyphenols contained in beverages and health foods with high sensitivity, unaffected by other components. A 1.5 µm solid-core particle column was used for the analysis, separating 36 types of polyphenols under gradient conditions within 10 minutes. By using standard samples of each polyphenol, calibration curves and detection limits were confirmed, achieving good linearity with a coefficient of determination of over 0.997 and detection limits in the low ng/mL range. Additionally, in the spiking recovery tests conducted on multiple health foods and beverages, approximately 100% recovery was obtained, confirming accurate quantification without interference from food components. This system reliably separates and detects components with similar structures, such as polyphenols, providing reduced analysis time and high reproducibility.
